“Ewan’s Cut”: Ewan McGregor to Auction Arran Single Malt for Charity
If you are a whisky enthusiast, an investor, a fan of Star Wars and Ewan McGregor, or want to support a good cause, this auction might interest you. Best known for his role as one of the main protagonists, Obi-Wan Kenobi, in the Star Wars franchise, Scottish actor Ewan McGregor will be auctioning 150 exclusive bottles from his personal cask of Arran Single Malt in WhiskyAuctioneer’s September auction (September 27th to October 7th). This inaugural cask is one of Lochranza Distillery’s oldest and was gifted to McGregor in 1998. The whisky was aged for 26 years in an ex-Sherry Hogshead cask and bottled at 46% ABV. Every bottle has a unique label that pays homage to McGregor’s career, with the first twenty-four bottles being personally signed by him. As an investor, this could be a great opportunity as these bottles are truly one of a kind.

All proceeds will go to Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS), a charity that offers family support for children with life-shortening conditions. Rami Okasha, the CEO of CHAS, said that “the funds raised through the Ewan’s Cut auction will make a real difference” to families of seriously ill children.
This auction presents anyone who loves whisky or is a fan of Ewan McGregor a chance to own something that is not only incredibly rare but also helps a good cause.
